Custom software for law firms - so your lawyers can practise law
A law firm sells its lawyers' judgement and time. Every hour a fee-earner spends rekeying a new matter into three systems, chasing a client for a signed engagement letter, or reformatting the same document for the fortieth time is an hour that wasn't billed and wasn't spent on the client.
Growing firms already know this - they're twice as likely as their peers to use automation. The problem is the gap between the practice management tool you bought and how your firm actually runs, and there's nobody in-house to close it. We close it. We build the custom software your firm needs, connect it to Clio or your practice tool, your document system and your email, and look after it for you - with the confidentiality and controls legal work demands.
We built our first tools for the Fame team - a 6-year-old people business with 100+ clients. They now give those hours back every week.

Client intake
A single branded link captures the matter details, conflicts information, ID and documents; the matter, contact and engagement letter are created automatically; a person reviews before anything is sent
Engagement and document automation
Engagement letters, standard agreements and routine correspondence drafted from matter data in your templates, reviewed by a lawyer, sent in minutes
Practice-tool sync
Clio (or your PMS), your document management, email and billing agreeing on every matter without manual updates
Client portals
A secure place for documents, status, invoices and approvals, instead of "did you get my email?"
Matter status and deadline dashboards
Every matter's stage, owner and key dates visible to the people who need them
Time capture and billing flow
Hours moving from where they're logged to where they're invoiced, with fewer write-offs from forgotten entries
Document and correspondence processing
Incoming documents classified, summarised and filed to the right matter, with a person confirming
What this looks like for your people
An associate who started every new matter by setting it up in three places now opens a matter that's already there and starts the work. A paralegal who spent afternoons chasing signatures now sees the chasers go out and handles only the exceptions. A partner who waited for the Friday WIP email now looks at it when she wants. The judgement - advice, drafting strategy, negotiation - stays entirely with your lawyers. The admin in between is gone.
Confidentiality, by design
Legal data needs more than a promise. Your data stays in your systems; anything we build runs on your own accounts, not ours; access follows your roles; and we agree a plain-language data policy with you before we start - including what never goes into any AI tool. Where AI assists (drafting, classification, summaries), a lawyer reviews before anything leaves the firm. AI drafts; your people decide.
How it works
- 01
Scope
2 weeksAn ops audit: we interview partners, fee-earners and support staff, map your tools and find where the hours go. Then we choose what to build - a roadmap with the three builds that recover the most, scoped and priced. The fee ($2,500 / £2,000) is credited to your first month.
- 02
Build
2-6 weeksThe first tool, built and tested, shaped to how your firm runs and connected to your systems. You approve it before it counts.
- 03
Roll out
We train fee-earners and support staff and manage the change so people actually use it.
- 04
Improve
MonthlyWe watch usage, fix and keep improving it. You're never dependent on an IT contractor who's moved on.

Questions, answered plainly
What can be automated in a small law firm?
Client intake, engagement letters and routine documents, matter setup across your systems, document filing and classification, deadline and status tracking, chasers, and the flow from time capture to billing. Legal judgement and advice stay with your lawyers.
Do you work with Clio and other practice management tools?
Yes - Clio and other common practice management, document management, e-signature and billing tools, via their official integrations and custom code where needed.
How do you handle client confidentiality?
Data stays in your systems; our builds run on your own accounts with role-based access; we agree a data and AI usage policy with you up front; and a lawyer reviews any AI-assisted output before it leaves the firm.
How much does custom software cost for a law firm?
A two-week audit is $2,500 (£2,000), credited to your first month; run plans $2,000-7,500 a month, first build included. All published.
Will this replace support staff?
No. It removes the rekeying, chasing and reformatting so your paralegals and support staff spend their hours on work that needs a person - and your fee-earners bill the hours they used to lose.
