Forge updates, right where the team works.
Most agency communication happens in Slack - the team channels, the client channels, the half-dozen project threads. The friction is moving information between Slack and the tools that drive the work. Forge's Slack integration (in development) lets your Forge tools post updates into Slack, pull threads back in, and route messages where they need to go - so the conversation stays where the team already is.

What Slack + Forge unlocks
Status updates into client channels
When a milestone ships or a status changes in a Forge tool, post the update into the right Slack channel automatically.
learn more →Feedback captured back
A reply in a feedback channel becomes a tracked item in the right project - so nothing important gets buried.
learn more →Internal alerts where the team is
Bench time, capacity warnings, retention signals - delivered to the team channel as actionable Slack messages.
learn more →Time tracking nudges in Slack
Daily reminders to log time, sent in DM - so logging happens before memory fades.
learn more →Three steps when it ships
Install the Slack app
One-click install to your workspace - we use Slack's official OAuth and scope only what you authorize.
Pick channels & rules
Choose which Forge events post where, and which Slack messages flow back into which tool.
Updates start flowing
Status, feedback, alerts - all moving between your Forge tools and Slack on your terms.
Slack alone vs Slack + Forge
| Forge | Slack alone | |
|---|---|---|
| Status updates | Triggered automatically from the work | Someone remembers to write and post one |
| Feedback capture | Routed into the right project automatically | Replies buried in channel scroll |
| Audit trail | Linked to the deliverable, persistent | Slack search and message history |
| Client channels | Each client's updates branded and tracked | Generic threads, easy to lose |
| Setup | Install, pick channels, done | Custom integrations or human discipline |
Slack for talking, Forge for shipping
Slack is the connective tissue of an agency - that's not changing. What's changing is the cost of the information that has to flow between Slack and the tools doing the work: the status updates that don't get posted, the feedback that gets lost, the nudges nobody sends. The Slack integration plugs that gap.

Frequently asked questions
When will the Slack integration be live?
It's on our active roadmap. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know the moment early access opens - and we'll ask what your top use case is, so we ship the right first version.
What will Forge read from Slack?
Only the channels and message types you explicitly authorize - we use Slack's official OAuth and scope to what you grant. You can revoke from your Forge dashboard or Slack workspace at any time.
Will updates spam my channels?
No - you'll pick exactly which Forge events post where, and how often. Sensible defaults (e.g. one daily digest, key milestones, blockers) ship with the integration.
Can I route updates to specific client channels?
Yes - the integration is channel-aware, so each client's portal can post into their own channel, and internal alerts can route to the team channel.
Will it work with Slack Connect channels?
Yes - that's a primary use case. Posting status updates into a shared Slack Connect channel with the client is one of the first things we want it to do well.
