Revision round

One agreed cycle of client feedback and changes on a deliverable. Capping the number of rounds is how agencies stop endless tweaking.

For example, a logo project includes two revision rounds. The client consolidates feedback into one batch per round; a third round, or piecemeal change-by-change requests, triggers a change order rather than free rework.

Why it matters to agencies: revision rounds put a fence around feedback, which is where a lot of agency margin quietly disappears. Defining the number up front - and what counts as one round - turns 'just one more change' from an awkward conversation into a pre-agreed boundary.
